Raising Connected Children in a Disconnected World.

A community driven movement raising awareness of the hidden harms of screen time in the early years from birth to five.

Why This Matters.

We’re living through a defining moment in childhood.

Technology is evolving faster than ever - AI-powered devices are entering homes, capable of holding conversations, mimicking emotions, and generating realistic text, video, and sound.

While there is potential for good, this rapid shift is transforming how children interact with the world.

Much like the arrival of smartphones over a decade ago, we’re at another turning point. Back then, the change was fast and many parents were left unprepared for the lasting impact of social media on mental health, relationships, and childhood itself.

We believe we cannot afford to make the same mistake twice.

"The "swiping if bored" nature of smart screens encourages instant gratification and reduces a child’s ability to develop patience and perseverance. This can lead to difficulties in maintaining attention in tasks that require deeper thinking and problem-solving, such as listening to a story or engaging in creative play."

Matthew Tavender - Cunningham Hill Schools

Why Pledge.

It creates a moment of commitment

When someone signs something, it turns a good intention into a conscious decision. It says: "I’m in. I believe in this."

It builds a community

A shared pact connects people. It reminds them they’re not alone—and creates a sense of “we’re doing this together.”

It spreads awareness

A pact is a great conversation starter. It helps people reflect on their habits, opens up dialogue, and invites others to join.
