About.

Unplugged Early Years is a growing movement for families, carers, and practitioners who believe that the first five years of life should be filled with presence, not pressure.
We’re here to raise awareness of the hidden harms of screen time and offer calm, confident alternatives—rooted in what young children actually need to grow and thrive.
From birth to five, their brains are developing at an incredible pace. What they need most? You. Your voice. Your gaze. Your presence.
We’re not anti-tech—we’re pro-childhood. And we believe small, conscious choices today can shape a more connected, confident future for the next generation.

What’s The Alternative?
We have two real options:
-
Try to shut children out from technology altogether (which we know is nearly impossible), or
-
Raise children with a strong sense of self-worth, emotional literacy, and real-world connection—so when the time comes, they meet tech with resilience and self-assurance.
That’s the heart of Unplugged Early Years.
It’s not about fear. It’s about being informed, intentional, and grounded in what we know helps children thrive—especially during the most critical phase of their development, from birth to five.
